So, you've read the rules and are interested in joining the site! Here are a few rules to get you on the way to making an application that will get you on the way faster than you can say Hippogriff!

1. Canon families and relatives of said families/characters are NOT allowed.
2. Canon information still does bear weight on this site, so when considering what your character has or has not experienced do not deviate.
3. Consider working from nothing to something.
4. The first TWO characters you created are free of charge. Following that, to create a third character you must have 10 IC posts on both the first and second character you created. To create a fourth you must have 20 IC posts on the first two, and 10 on the third. This pattern continues indefinitely. There is no limit on how many characters you can create as long as you are able to keep up with them all and meet the criteria for activity checks.
5. One character per account. Create a new account and link them if you would like to play another character.
6. We ask that you use a REAL PERSON as your face claim. Original art, and animanga will not work.
7. We also ask that you use characters who reasonably look like your characters age. A ten year old does not look like a twenty year old.
8. Please mark your application with "WIP" if you are still working on it.
9. Finished applications should be REPORTED for reason type in: Completed Application to notify staff. If this is NOT done your application WILL NOT be looked at.
9. Pure Blood characters are allowed, but keep in mind the rarity of Pure Bloods in the Harry Potter universe and the frequency of incestuous relationships to maintain blood purity. If your character is Pure Blood, we ask that you include information in your character's backstory explaining how their family has maintained their blood purity through the centuries.
10. Statistics should be included if you are participating in Quidditch or Dueling Club. Information can be found in the Overview how to distribute points properly.
11. Character add-ons will be made available at a later date (add ons include metamorphmagus) but cannot be your first or second character and will have stricter activity requirements.
12. To reserve a faceclaim please do so under faceclaims.
13. AFTER your character is approved please post to claim the face you want or else it will not be registered and you will be asked to change it if someone else comes on board.
14. Keep in mind the current on site year - 2002, which should play a part in your characters Birthdate.
15. At this moment in time we are also limiting characters to be 5th Years or Under. This is to give a sense of progression and development.
16. At this time, all characters must be either students, or Hogwarts staff. We anticipate expanding the availability of character types to include adult witches and wizards in the future.
17. Student characters will be sorted into their respective Houses by the sorting staff member, except for incoming First Year students, whose House will be revealed at a special start-of-year event in September!
